Frequently asked questions

Unfortunately, some of our cisterns are manufactured with the outlet spigot moulded in as part of the cistern body, and are used with a push fit flush pipe. In these cases, the Niagara pneumatic flushing valve that we use could only be replaced with another like for like Niagara flushing valve. If the cistern has a more conventional flushing valve fitted, connected to the cistern by a back nut, with a flush pipe connected by means of a cone ring and cap nut, then it would be possible to replace the existing flushing valve with other type of flushing valve.

Check the tube connections on the valve. On the Niagara pneumatic flush value, the green tube is the reduced flush connection and the clear tube is for the full flush connection. Check the bellows are inflating correctly as there may be an air leak and check they are seated correctly. Check to see if the fault is with the button instead of the flush valve. When disconnected, press your finger over the 2 spigot connector points. Press the full or reduced flush button, do you feel resistance? If you don't, it's likely the button is at fault.

Yes both valves are interchangeable in your cistern and the blue model is our latest model variant
